Ziggy Pop: MELVINS REUNITE WITH ORIGINAL DRUMMER ON UPCOMING ALBUM Consequenceofsound.net is reporting that the Melvins will be reuniting with the group’s original drummer Mike Dillard for the release of the band’s upcoming album "Tres Cabrones". Dillard was replaced by current Melvins drummer Dale Crover in 1984 and will be Dillard’s first full length recording with the Melvins. Buzz Osbourne had this to say about the reuniting in a statement: “Tres Cabrones is as close as we’re willing to get to the Melvins 1983 line-up. The best part is it’s all new songs. I specifically wrote tunes that would be good for these guys to play and it worked out great. We had no interest in rehashing tunes we wrote 30 years ago and chose instead to simply create NEW songs. It worked out perfectly." "Tres Cabrones" hits shelves November 5th. Right now the band is finishing up their 30th Anniversary Tour which concludes this August.
