Ziggy Pop: KRIST NOVOSELIC COMMENTS ON NIRVANA & PAUL MCCARTNEY’S GRAMMY NOMINATION Nirvana bassist Krist Novoselic commented on the Nirvana/Paul McCartney collaboration “Cut Me Some Slack” being nominated a Grammy on his Twitter page. Novoselic tweeted, “Whoa! Just found out ‘Cut Me Some Slack’ is nominated for a Grammy. Nice!!!!!” He added, “Sound City is a great documentary. The soundtrack album is really, really good too.” In March, Nirvana drummer Dave Grohl discussed the collaboration with McCartney in an interview with GQ, “To be in the same room making a new song with him, with my friends, with Nirvana, recording it on the board that’s responsible for Nevermind is without a doubt one of the most incredible experiences of my entire life.” Grohl also told Telegraph.co.uk in January that the collaboration was unpredictable, “There were times when we didn’t know what was going to happen, like put Paul McCartney in a room with Nirvana and cross your fingers that something cool happens.”
