Ziggy Pop: Nine Inch Nails announce North American arena tour First came the album announcement, then the first single, and now Nine Inch Nails give us the final piece in tonight’s holy trinity of music news with the announcement of a North American tour. In support of Hesitation Marks, the band has unveiled plans for a new arena tour called Tension. According to NIN mastermind Trent Reznor, Tension will pick up where the band’s 2008 Lights in the Sky tour left off, adding , “This is the full-on NIN live experience realized as we never could before.” The leg kicks off in St. Paul, MN in late September and runs through late November. Reznor will perform alongside Adrian Belew (King Crimson) and Josh Eustis (Telefon Tel Aviv), along with previous NIN collaborators Robin Finck, Alessandro Cortini and Ilan Rubin. Adding to the anticipation? Explosions in the Sky and Godspeed You! Black Emperor will serve as support for the tour.
