Ziggy Pop: A gossipy article in Melbourne’s Herald Sun newspaper reveals Billy Corgan has written a song called “Pretty Pretty” for his Australian girlfriend Jessica Origliasso’s band The Veronicas next album. Ziggy Pop: Smashing Pumpkins billed atop December festivals in California The Smashing Pumpkins have announced a third U.S. tour date for the holidays, this one on December 12 at the 12,000-capacity Viejas Arena in San Diego for XETRA-FM’s “Wrex the Halls” festival. My Chemical Romance, Jimmy Eat World and other bands are in support. Tickets are available already through an Internet presale. The Pumpkins will also headline KITS-FM’s “Not So Silent Night” in San Jose on December 10. Ziggy Pop: Billy Corgan's Gold Coast Condo For Rent Billy Corgan, lead singer of the Smashing Pumpkins and all around Chicago music legend, has been trying to sell his Gold Coast condo without much luck. Now, Corgan's condo in a vintage Chicago mansion is available for rent. The 2 bedroom, 2.5 bath home can be yours for a mere $10,000 a month. The condo was initially listed for $5.5 million in September of 2008 and has been reduced to $3.55 million. The condo is located at 1500 N. Astor Place in the vintage Patterson-McCormick mansion, built in 1892. Though it only 2 bedrooms, the second floor condo offers 3,700 square-feet of living space and includes a reception room, library, four wood-burning fireplaces, 10-foot ceilings throughout and a private balcony. Zero: With dates already set in San Diego and San Jose, the Smashing Pumpkins have added Los Angeles to their California Christmas itinerary. They have been announced as the headliner for Night 1 of the KROQ Almost Acoustic Christmas concert on Saturday December 11th at the Gibson Ampitheater in Universal City, a date sandwiched between two previously announced Christmas themed multi-band shows in California. Tickets ($75, not including fees) go onsale Thursday 11/18 at noon PST, but only to members of the “KROQ Street Team” and who are also California residents (or at least have access to a credit card with a California billing address). According to a Flash countdown clock on the KROQ website, the concert will be webcast for those of us stuck in other states and/or countries. Billy Corgan appeared at this show with Mike Garson in 1998, treating the crowd to the only-performed-once Lover and the first performance of Rotten Apples. Billy then joined in with Depeche Mode for the concert closer, Never Let Me Down. Тыквы заявлены хедлайнерами первой ночи KROQ Almost Acoustic Christmas.
