Ziggy Pop: Billy Corgan’s guitar on Glen Campbell’s swan song, due this week Glen Campbell will release Ghost on the Canvas, which is being billed as his final studio album, this Tuesday. Billy Corgan’s involvement with the album was announced back in February. According to the Amazon listing for the Ghost on the Canvas CD, the album’s final track, “There’s No Me… Without You,” features Corgan’s guitar work alongside that of Marty Rifkin, Rick Nielsen, and Brian Setzer. Campbell, who recently disclosed that he is suffering from Alzheimer’s, embarks on “The Goodbye Tour” on Friday.

Ziggy Pop: Corgan: “It’s no secret in my world that I’m a huge Queen fan” Billy Corgan wishes Queen’s frontman Freddie Mercury a posthumous happy 65th birthday and shares the following snippet: “One of my favorite stories that Roy [Thomas Baker] ever told me was that after Queen’s first album came out, they were kind of slagged off by the English press as almost like a gimmick or a novelty band, and Freddie got so frustrated that he basically said, ‘OK, we’re gonna pull out all the stops, we’re not gonna hold back on anything we do.’ And that of course led to the style that Queen was known for, which was this incredible bombast of vocals and classical changes and guitar solos.” Corgan cited Queen II as an “album that changed his life” as far back as 1993. Queen reissues their final five albums on Tuesday.

Ziggy Pop: Carina Round and Billy Corgan have “Got to Go” According to Carina Round’s official website, Billy Corgan has contributed guitar to her track “Got to Go (LA Song)”, to be released on her new album due out in Spring 2012. Prior to a recent live performance, Round describes the song as “about being really fucked up all the time in L.A.” Round, a semi-frequent collaborator with Corgan, is set to release the first single and video from the album on November 8. That track, “The Last Time,” features another known Corgan collaborator, Sierra Swan. Round is also featured on the new Puscifer album Conditions of My Parole, due out October 18. You can hear her on the Puscifer single “Man Overboard,” which she co-wrote. Корган сыграл на гитаре в песне Карины Раунд “Got to Go (LA Song)”, альбом выходит весной 2012 года. Карина так же представлена на новом альбоме Puscifer "Conditions Of My Parole", релиз - 18 октября 2011 года. Кстати а вообще интересно они имеются?
